LATEST UPDATES:

CORPORATE WORSHIP SERVICES HELD INDOORS, Sunday 9am and Wednesday 7pm (11am services are still drive-in until further notice)

Effective immediately in Phase 2 of the Governor’s Safe Start plan, we may hold indoor services with up to 25% capacity or up to 200 people, whichever is less, so long as six feet of physical distancing can be achieved between households. Read all of the details here. You may sit with your family as long as they reside in your household. Every party entering the sanctuary will be seated, so you will not yet be able to select your own seat, but this is for the safety and benefit of all attending.

All COVID-19 protocols are in place, including temperature screening before entry, social distancing and required face coverings.

FACE COVERINGS WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER SERVICES.
We will also provide temperature screening before entering the building. Restrooms will be open with limited capacity, and all internal services such as bookstore, coffee stand, free coffee, and Welcome Center are temporarily closed to limit gatherings and contact between one another.

As of 7.01.2020 – WEDNESDAY NIGHT & YOUTH WORSHIP SERVICES
Wednesday night worship services will resume in the sanctuary. All COVID-19 protocols are in place, including temperature screening before entry, social distancing and required face coverings.

Youth Worship services will be held in person outdoors in the grassy triangle in the church parking lot. The same health screenings will be done prior to service, and all protocols for distancing and cleanliness will be in place to keep your teens and young adults safe. For now, we felt this solution was more effective to accommodate the needs of all.

5.27.2020, the Governor’s office released news that religious and faith-based organizations in Phase 1 counties may host up to 100 people for outdoor services. Given that our congregation is larger than 100, we will continue with drive-in services, using your car or portable radio tuned to 91.9 FM as our main mode of transmission of service. Online services continue for those who prefer to watch from home. We are allowed up to 100 individuals outdoors, including workers, but since we have better accommodations for the drive-in services (and staying in your car will reduce risk of exposure), we ask that you remain in your vehicles as much as possible.

5.28.2020
Starting 5/31/2020, The River will be hosting outdoor KIDS CHURCH in the Administration Building parking lot, 10626 SE 216th Street, Kent WA 98031. We are providing secure, safe, pickup and drop off for a 1-hour service for grade-school aged kids 6 and up. State mandated COVID-19 health and safety practices will be employed for all services at The River, to include but is not limited to hand-washing/sanitizing station, social distancing practices, and no-contact activities.
